noreen
directed by domhnall gleeson
comedy
run time: 18 minutes
two policemen get more than they bargained for on a house-call in
athmuck, co. offaly.
frank is young and heartbroken. con is middle-aged and weary.
when they find a dead body in a local cottage, what began as a routine
call-out becomes an opportunity for life lessons, relationship advice and
musings on the basics of detective work. unfortunately those lessons, advice and musings are of absolutely no use to anybody. for both men are idiots.
noreen starts as a character-based comedy and, due to the massive
stupidity of both men, gradually builds to a plot-heavy, uproarious conclusion.
