strange days are these
directed by jake mckone
comedy
run time: 90 minutes
strange days are these is a wryly cringe-making but also touching mockumentary which describes a day in the life of micro-budget b-movie director jamie duffy, as he in turn is followed by a young reporter and her crew. strange days are these was shot over 9 months with a cast and crew of 60 and was entirely self - financed. warmly recieved at the galway film fleadh, the film is full of genuinely funny, filmmaking in-jokes and the character of jamie with his vulnerability and his passionate determination to make a film at any cost is compelling indeed.
